NFL hopefuls and other athlete news

Future NFL hopefuls are working hard at DTS. Long days and hard work are already paying off in one week. We had a linebacker take 3 tenths off his pro shuttle going from a 4.6 to a 4.3 and a running back going from a 4.3 to a 4.0. This running back also ran a consistent 1.5 second 10 yard dash along with hitting a 1.47 second 10 yard dash twice! The great thing is they still have 4 more weeks!! Check out this 58" Box Jump below during one of their training sessions!

Zach M. has been the 5th DTS trained athlete to box jump 56" this is an amazing feat of explosiveness and I'm not sure of any other sports training facility in the nation who has recorded these results on tape. Not to mention 3 out of the 5 kids are high school kids! Check out Zach and the other athletes below who are jumping onto a 56" or higher box:

Lacrosse season is about to kickoff and DTS trained athlete and former high school All American Jake Bernhardt is working hard and will be on the second line midfield for the University of Maryland. Look for Jesse Bernhardt to make a big impact this year as well for Lake Brantley. Jesse will join his brother at Maryland for lacrosse as well.

Congratulations to Alton Meeks and Misha Steen who placed first in their weight classes for wrestling. Alton wrestled at the Tulsa Nationals along with Misha who won the Northeast Championship Nationals.

The Reno Bighorns have acquired point guard Daryl "Majic" Dorsey from the available player pool. Dorsey, 185 pounds 6-1 Guard from Brevard Community College in Florida, played for the Las Vegas Rattlers in 2004 with the ABA and became the Rookie of the Year with an average of 20.8 points in 12 games. In his Sophomore year at Brevard CC, he was ranked second nationally in scoring 28.6 ppg and eighth in assists; 8.3 apg. He was named All-Region, All-State and All-Conference.

Dorsey most recently played for the Albuquerque Thunderbirds and averaged 12.8 points in the first five games for the season for the Thunderbirds. He will be in uniform and make his Bighorns debut against the Anaheim Arsenal on Friday, December 12th at the downtown Reno Events Center. "We are very excited to have Majic join the team," said Jason Glover, Director of Basketball Operations/Assistant Coach. "He is another play-maker and has experience in the D-league as a proven scorer, we feel with this addition he makes us a stronger team."

DTS Speed

DTS would like to congratulate Alex Carter on lowering his 60 yard dash time by 7 tenths going from a 8.3 second 60 yard dash to a 7.6 second 60 yard dash in seven and a half weeks. This is almost a tenth taken off per week. Alex has worked hard on lowering his times and we are hoping to see him in the 6.9's even with baseball season approaching. Only Alex will understand the video below so don't even try to figure it out.

Happy New Year

DTS would like to wish everyone a happy New Year!

Chains! Sledgehammers! Tractor Tires! Oh my!

This new year many athletes and teams will be looking for the cutting edge training that will separate them from their opponent. We have established ourselves in building athletes to become the best! So next time your being dominated by a DTS athlete or trained team just think this is the way we have been training:

Notice he mentions speed and strength not just one. You truly need both to maximize potential.

I just hope this isn't the way you or your team has been training:

I'm sure I could have found a better example but I honestly couldn't resist putting this up. You have to admit, it is very entertaining.
